The big day has finally come and gone... I have to say, I went into this with very low expectations. I can only think of one movie that I liked as well as the book, so I was very skeptical. I'm not quite sure what it is.... I feel like when I see a movie after reading the novel first, the movie usually seems cheesey. Almost low budget. With Twilight I was pleasantly surprised. I can't say that I LOVED it, but I was entertained. Although... Edward from the book is definately better then Edward from the movie, the movie version grew on me. I thought that the casting overall was spot on. I'd like to see it again when there isn't a theater full of screaming girls. Thanks to Rachel for hosting our Twilight pre-party. You're a gem:)

The tailgate party started on Friday night and didn't end until 11 pm Saturday night!! I haven't wanted to say anything about the UTES PERFECT SEASON because I was so scared that I would jinks it!!! But, now that it's over.....This was such a fun football season! I L*O*V*E Kyle Whittingham. I am so proud of my team. GO UTES!!!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN

We went to two parties on Halloween. We started out at my aunt Nancy's annual gathering and then we headed over to Jinxy and Julia`s. For My aunt's party Brett wore his PG costume, which was a ninja. For Jinxy and Julia's he dressed down into his PG 13 costume which was Tom Cruise in risky business. This costume was all my fault. I was a geisha and wanted him to be a ninja. He didn't like this idea. So, we were trying to think of a last minute idea that wouldn't be too expensive. I was kind of kidding when I made the Risky Business suggestion, but he loved it. HAPPY 29th BRETT

Brett had his 29th Birthday on the 8th of October. For his B-day, I decided to surprise him with a trip to Denver to watch the Broncos vs Bucs game. Brett grew up in Denver, and is a huge Broncos fan. Our friends Dan and Heather live in Denver and they helped me pull the whole thing off. I started to plan the trip about two months ago. I was able to keep it a surprise clear until the night before when I accidentally spilled the beans. We stayed with Dan and Heather at their apartment downtown. Dan has a friend who works for the Broncos and was able to get us killer seats. We were on the 9th row of the lower bowl!!! We had sooo much fun! After the game we scored passes to go down into the tunnel where we were able to meet Dre Bly, Champ Bailey and Brandon Marshall. We even got to take pictures with them.After the game Dan took us to the Pepsi Center ( He is a trainer for the Nuggets) and we got to go into the teams locker room and play basketball on the practice court.

The only disappointment was that we didn't get to meet Mark Schlereth who played for the Broncos during the John Elway days. I have MAJOR crush on him!! He was at the game for a tribute they were doing for players from past teams. Maybe next time!!! I have one of Dan's friends working on setting that up.

We also found time in our little weekend to pay a visit to Brett's grandparents and his uncle. We haven't seen them in about two years, so it was really nice to catch up. Overall I think the weekend was a success.

This post is all about Brett. He was looking at our blog tonight and was bothered that there weren't more pictures of him. So I told him I'd take care of it. A normal person would be embarrassed by their wife putting these pics on the internet, but not Brett. He loves it:)

Did you know that he modeled a little before we started dating? This is a five page spread that he did for Details magazine(September 2004 issue). I remember going to dinner with my friends and whipping this bad boy out while asking "Do you want to see the guy I'm dating?" The funniest story is the time I went to his house, I think we had only been dating for a week or so, and he had his magazine open to this spread and he walked over and said "People say I look like this guy." What a line. He's a nerd, but a good looking one.

AUGUST RUNDOWN

I was such a mess this August that I didn't get the chance to post all of the good things that happened, so here is the rundown:

We had a book club retreat at Aubrey's cabin.

The book: Breaking Dawn

Does anyone else think that maybe Stephenie Meyer was writing this at the same time that she was writing The Host?? Not my favorite of the Twilight series. I was extremely disapointed in the first half of the book, but decided by the end that it was worth the three days it took me to read it.

Can you believe this place? We had so much fun. We first had dinner in PC and then went to the cabin. We didn't talk too much about the book, but instead took turns scaring eachother. Sorry boys...there weren't any pillow fights:)

We are one hot book club.

BLAKE TURNS 30!!!
Blake had his 30th Birthday on August 6th. We threw a big surprise party for him the Saturday before and I can honestly say that I have never seen someone so surprised in my life. He stood there with a blank look on his face for about 40 seconds before I ran over to hug him.

I have got to be the luckiest girl in the world. Blake is the most genuine sincere person in the world. Any of you who know him can vouch for that. I don't know anyone else in the world who is as well liked as him.

Blake, I love you more than you will ever know.

My Dad's birthday is also in August. I want him to know how much I love him and appreciate all that he does for me. I am such a daddy's girl. All growing up I only wanted to listen to his music and watch his movies. That is why I am such a big fan of Elvis Presley, The Carpenters, the beatles and old school horror movies. I still want to do everything that he does. We have so much fun going golfing together, taking guitar lessons and watching football.

We have some sad news. We recently told all of you that we were expecting. Unfotunately, when I went in for my last check-up we discovered that our baby no longer had a heartbeat. As many of you know, this is my second miscarriage in 4 months. We would like to thank all of our friends and family for their amazing support durring this most difficult time. I don't know how I would survive this with out all of you and most of all with out Brett. As you can imagine we are still deeply hurt and trying to recover. While we appreciate your thoughts we would like you to keep in mind that this is still hard for us to talk about. Thanks again for all of your love and support.

We Decided to take a road trip to visit Brett's parents in Lake Las Vegas for the Fourth of July. We made the Jenkins Fam come along for the ride. The Boone's bought a place at the lake about two years ago and have decided to become permanent residents. I can't imagine why???? This is the view off of their balcony. Rough isn't it?

Every morning when Milana woke up the boys were already out golfing. She was so sad that Brett was not home that she climbed into his suitcase. Milana absolutely LOVES Brett.

By now you have all learned that I am only good for about one post per month. Sorry about that. Not much has really been going on as of late, but I'll try to update you on some of the small stuff. Brett's parents are officially moving to Vegas, so they have sold their house here in Salt Lake. Also, his sister Dena and her husband Dustin have moved to Ohio. This is very sad for us:( We are very close with Brett's family, and it's hard not having them close by. Thank Heavens the Bairds are here to stay!!! With all of the moving we have really just been trying to spend as much time with his family while they're in town as possible, so that is mostly what we have been up to.

On a darker note....... Majority rules (maybe). Joelle and I have decided to join forces with the dark side, but not until this Fall. (Don't be surprised if I chicken out.) As of right now I'm thinking that I'm going to go brunette.

So I have been complaining a lot lately about the upkeep of blond hair, and Brett has really been trying to talk me into a change. So.... Julia and I went to this super ghetto wig store and I tried on wigs. What do you think??? So far most people have told me to go for it, but I'm not quite so sure. I have always been blond. The second that I saw my first brown hair sprouting I ran to the store and bought a bottle of bleach.

I told all of you that I was going to be really bad at this!!!! I swear I don't know where all of my time goes. We haven't had much to blog about lately anyway, so... I thought I'd catch you all up on some of the fun things that we have done so far this year. However, if any of you frequent Jinxy and Julia's blog some of these might seem a little familiar since everything we do is with them:)

These are our pictures from Cancun in March. We were celebrating Julia's 30th birthday. She booked us rooms at a really nice all inclusive resort. The only time we ventured away from our little paradise was when we went swimming with the dolphins. We had so much fun, and would love to go back soon!

Solitude January 2008

We went to solitude in January to celebrate Justin and my 27th birthday. This is Brett and I ( and Ty in the background trying to ruin our picture) after snowboarding my very first time ever!! I fell in love with it, and so for my birthday present Brett bought me brand new snowbaord gear. I am now the most stylish girl on the slopes with my cute snowboard jacket that is black with fur on the hood and a hot pink belt.

The reason that I look so mad in this picture is because my husband had just tried to kill me by telling me that I was ready to go toe side my very first day.

Hale Sweet Hale
Hale means Home in Hawaiian. We just got back from our anual trip to Maui. As usual it was perfect! I have grown up on this beach. My family has been coming here at least once a year (as some of you know I have been over here as many as three times in one year) since I was 10 years old. I was lucky enough to have my fairytale wedding on this very beach just two years ago. Brett and I had our anniversary while we were over there. I might be slightly bias, but I think that this beach is the most beautiful place in the world. Pictures just don't do it justice. You have to see it for yourself.

This is a picture of Brett and me doing what we do best....sitting on the beach. You will all notice that we are not nearly as tan as usual. I am sporting a very lovely straw hat to protect myself from the sun, and we are both wearing our sunscreen. Thank heavens for Mystic Tan, I can still come home with a little bit of a bronze glow.

Our Wedding day was perfect. It was sunny all day, and then rained for about 10 minutes just before the ceremony( in Hawaii it is good luck if it rains on your wedding day), then fhe sun came out just long enough for us to get married. The only thing missing from that day was a couple of very important people.

There is nothing better than sitting down to the best breakfast ever while you watch dolphins (depending on the time of year, sometimes whales) jumping in the distance. If any of you ever make it to Maui you have to have breakfast (not lunch) at The Gazebo.
