AUGUST RUNDOWN
I was such a mess this August that I didn't get the chance to post all of the good things that happened, so here is the rundown:
We had a book club retreat at Aubrey's cabin.
The book: Breaking Dawn
Does anyone else think that maybe Stephenie Meyer was writing this at the same time that she was writing The Host?? Not my favorite of the Twilight series. I was extremely disapointed in the first half of the book, but decided by the end that it was worth the three days it took me to read it.
Can you believe this place? We had so much fun. We first had dinner in PC and then went to the cabin. We didn't talk too much about the book, but instead took turns scaring eachother. Sorry boys...there weren't any pillow fights:)

We are one hot book club.

BLAKE TURNS 30!!!
Blake had his 30th Birthday on August 6th. We threw a big surprise party for him the Saturday before and I can honestly say that I have never seen someone so surprised in my life. He stood there with a blank look on his face for about 40 seconds before I ran over to hug him.
I have got to be the luckiest girl in the world. Blake is the most genuine sincere person in the world. Any of you who know him can vouch for that. I don't know anyone else in the world who is as well liked as him.
Blake, I love you more than you will ever know.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY POPPY!!!
My Dad's birthday is also in August. I want him to know how much I love him and appreciate all that he does for me. I am such a daddy's girl. All growing up I only wanted to listen to his music and watch his movies. That is why I am such a big fan of Elvis Presley, The Carpenters, the beatles and old school horror movies. I still want to do everything that he does. We have so much fun going golfing together, taking guitar lessons and watching football.
I LOVE YOU

I want to say Happy Birthday to all of the others who had Birthdays in August...

Brett's Grandpa Stewart and his Nana, my uncle John and Aunt Jacki, and my favorite little sconecutter buddy Stephanie P. We love you guys and hope it was a good one.

Cute post about August great pics of your dad and Blake. I totally think Mrs. Myers was writing both books at the same time....I secretly don't like her because of that! I think the Host ruined her in my eyes...Ha! Missed your call today call me soon! Love ya!

A few things:

I LOVE The Carpenters! It's the most comforting music to me, reminds me of my mom :)

Breaking Dawn, I couldn't help but feel disappointed. I was bored for the first half - it did end well, but perhaps a bit too perfectly?

Can't wait for Gossip Girl tonight!
